What a wedding in Mendoza actually costs

There is no single price. There are variables. This page shows which ones, what the market publishes today, and what almost always gets left out — so you can compare any proposal, including ours.

The four variables that move the budget

Any serious proposal in Mendoza is built on four variables. If a proposal does not surface all four, it is incomplete — and the gap will show up later.

1. Guest count

The dominant variable. It affects gastronomy, beverage, furniture, structure, staff, transport and rooms. The 50–120 range is where the format works best.

2. Season

Peak season runs October to April; November is the most contested month. The harvest window (February to April) concentrates weddings and wine tourism at the same time. May and September are a value window for couples who accept the cold — with snow-capped Andes as the backdrop.

3. Days of programming

A one-day wedding and a four-day Wedding Weekend are different economic products. Extending from two to three days usually raises the couple's cost proportionally less than the value guests perceive.

4. Level of gastronomy and wine

In Mendoza, the widest-amplitude variable. The gap between a correct menu and a signed menu can move the total budget without changing any other decision.

What almost always gets left out

  • Styling and florals — often the second-largest line item.
  • Sound, lighting and technical structure — including a generator for outdoor moments.
  • Photography and video — with travel and lodging if the team comes from abroad.
  • Guest transport — hotels ↔ venue, both directions.
  • Ceremony coordination — when the venue does not carry it.
  • Accommodation for the couple and immediate family.
  • Parallel events — welcome dinner, brunch, guest experiences.
  • Weather contingency — if it requires additional structure, it carries its own cost.

How to compare two proposals without fooling yourselves

  1. List the eight items above in a column.
  2. Tag each proposal for each item: included, coordinated or on you.
  3. Quote separately anything that landed as "on you".
  4. Only then add the totals.

This is where an integrated structure makes a difference: at Huentala, venue, gastronomy, wine, accommodation and local coordination are operated by one team — more items in the "included" column, fewer contracts, fewer points of failure. That is why we ask you to compare scopes, not totals.

A note on currency

Contracts in US dollars protect the couple from peso volatility. If the wedding is 12 to 18 months out, we agree the installment schedule and the exchange policy at each payment date in writing, before signing.

Frequently asked questions

What couples ask about budget

What does a winery wedding in Mendoza typically cost?

Argentine trade press published in 2024 a market average of USD 15,000 to 25,000 for the celebration at the winery. Brazilian operators publish Uco Valley venue packages starting around USD 13,000 for 50 guests. These are event-only references — they do not include accommodation, flights, styling, photography or production. The real budget is built case by case, and that is exactly what the first conversation is for.

Is Mendoza cheaper than a wedding at home?

Comparing totals rarely makes sense because the guest list changes. A destination wedding in Mendoza typically hosts 50 to 120 guests, against 150 to 300 for a comparable wedding in the US or Brazil. The cost per guest tends to be higher; the total often lower. What actually changes is what the money buys: four days of experience, not five hours of party.

Do guests cover their own travel?

Yes — that is the consolidated norm. Guests cover flights and hotels; the couple hosts the celebrations. Some couples subsidize part of the accommodation for immediate family or negotiate group rates. When the hotels belong to the same group as the venue, that negotiation happens in the same conversation.

Why do you not publish a fixed price?

Because the value depends on variables that only exist after a conversation: guest count, season, days of programming, and the level of gastronomy and wine. A fixed price published without scope hides exclusions. What we deliver is a detailed written proposal, with inclusions and exclusions line by line.

What currency are contracts in?

International wedding contracts in Mendoza are typically denominated in US dollars. The currency, the installment schedule, the exchange policy at each payment date and the cancellation terms are all agreed in writing before signing.
